PETROVAL’s catalyst department offers a wide range of catalyst change activities: unloading, dense reactor reloading, catalyst sampling, expertise and supervision during industrial unit shutdowns. Teams of specialists operate on site throughout the world. Since the company's creation, more than 1,500 reactors have been "dense loaded" throughout the world by PETROVAL teams. In addition to this Catalyst department, PETROVAL has also developed an Energy department which includes energy expertise and diagnostic assistance (through Infra Red Thermography) and offers adapted technologies (Inserts) to improve the energy efficiency of units and reduce the carbon footprint of industrial sites.

ENERGY TECHNICIAN MISSIONS 🖊
Working in the Energy Department and reporting to the Technical and R&D Manager, following in-house training, your tasks will be to:
- ✔Carry out audits on industrial furnaces using an IR camera (assessing furnace operating parameters, combustion, measuring tube temperatures and identifying anomalies).
- ✔ Carry out work during maintenance shutdowns on heat exchangers or furnaces (installing inserts, loading reforming tubes).
- ✔ Draw up technical bids for the installation of inserts based on heat exchange simulations carried out on HTRI
- ✔ Write technical reports or audits of work carried out
- ✔ Participate and make proposals in the preparation of worksites
- ✔ Be a driving force behind R&D proposals
- ✔ Be involved in the company's safety and quality procedures
REQUIRED PROFILE 🖊
Ideally, you possess a 2/3-year higher education qualification in Chemical Engineering/Process Engineering or Energy Transfer and Efficiency.
You will be required to :
- ✔ Understand heat transfer
- ✔ Be able to read mechanical drawings and other technical documents
- ✔ Master the basics of industrial refining processes
- ✔ Be comfortable using Office tools and writing reports
The international environment in which you will be working will require you to travel all over the world, so you will need good English proficiency. Fluency in a second language would be a plus. Working on refinery/petrochemical sites during technical shutdowns also means adopting a non-routine working rhythm where schedules change frequently, so one of the watchwords you'll need to remember is flexibility!
