Loading Technologies

Since 1990, PETROVAL provides dense loading services with the DENSICAT®, the first dense loading machine developped.

Dense loading of fixed bed catalytic reactors is a technique which has been used for a few decades, and has proven to be very useful for reactors debottlenecking and for other vessels filled with particulate materials.

The CATAPAC® technology is a dense loading process developed by IFP EN to load Axens catalyst. Petroval possesses the exclusive licensee from IFP for all Catapac dense loading.

S-LOAD® is a technology developed and patented by Petroval, for the loading of inert support balls into the bottom of a reactor quickly, safely and without breakage.

The OSCILLOCAT™ is a new dense loading technology resulting from an R&D project between Petroval and a client.

The UNIDENSE™ technology is a catalyst loading method for primary reformer tubes which is less complex and faster than the traditional ”sock” loading method.

The Dust-Free system was developed by Petroval to dense load hazardous catalysts, prevent dust emission into the atmosphere, and prevent the exposure of personnel.
